MOUNTAIN LAKE CLUB

Rules and Regulations for Memberships, Lake and Property Use

LAKE USE - GENERAL

  • Members have access to the Lake from 6AM until 10PM daily to use their own registered boats, swim in the lake, and/or picnic on the point near the spillway. This does not include areas behind fenced areas, including the LakeHouse Bar & Grill yard and the beach area, the latter of which is regulated by the state and is only open when MLC Management is onsite and during posted Beach hours.

  • Access to the boat launch requires unlocking and opening the gate. The person who opens the gate must also shut and lock the gate after using the boat launch. Sharing the gate lock combination code with other parties is prohibited.

  • Parents/Guardians must accompany children under 14 to swim or use the lake. Children over 14 are allowed to swim by themselves without a parent or guardian present, with the understanding that there is no lifeguard on duty. Please refer to the Lake Use-Swimming section for further details.

LAKE USE - BOATING

  • Lake Shannondale is a private lake. No wake allowed.

  • Members may register an electric motorized boat ($50 per boat) or a non-motorized boat (canoes, kayaks) ($25 per boat).

  • After launching your boat, you must close and relock the gate before leaving the boat launch. After you remove your boat from the boat launch, you must close and relock the gate upon leaving the lake. Please report any problems with the gate, fencing, or surrounding boat launch area to staff.

  • Members over 18 years of age may pilot a boat by themselves, with exceptions for those 16 years of age with prior approval from both their parents/guardians and MLC Management.
